Key Account Manager

This is a great opportunity to join an established small manufacturer/wholesaler of a variety of gift and stationery products. The position and company are located in Southern Colorado. We have over 22 years of experience selling our products to National retailers, independent store owners, Amazon, and through our retail website. The in-house team proudly has over 80 combined years’ experience in our industry, and we are very passionate about color, design, and customer service. We are currently looking for a self-starter to represent our company and manage select key accounts. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth with our extensive product line, explore adding new product lines and continue to help expand our customer base. This position will report directly to the Owner/President of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior management on key account selling, pricing, and production. Provide all customers with timely information and feedback on pricing.

• Work with the design group to create presentations of products and promotions to present buyers across the United States.

• Negotiate new programs with customers to grow unit and dollar volume Keeping senior management informed of progress on all negotiations.

• Contribute to customer strategy development to ensure business objectives are achieved.

• Set up and attend trade shows as required.

• Extensive travel is required.

• Proactively Follow up with key account buyers on pricing and programs.

• Manage all deadlines and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines and commitments.

• Analyze customer and competitor strategies to generate specific sales plans.

• Keep ahead of trends and the industry by monitoring home décor, fashion, tabletop, and surface design within the industry. Help translate trends into products.

Qualifications and Skill Set:

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related area of emphasis.

• Requires 3+ years sales experience within the gift industry, with at least 1 year working exclusively at a National Account Sales or Key Account Sales level.

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets, and growth goals.

• Experience in delivering focused solutions based on customer needs, working with National Accounts, and at an executive level.

• High level of proactive initiative and demonstrated ability to generate results.

• Must have excellent business presentation abilities and be able to negotiate for mutual benefits for clients.

• Laser focus on details, a high level of organization, and the ability to follow through and re-prioritize to meet deadlines on multiple projects.

• Technology proficient with the ability to work within multiple sales platforms – including all Microsoft Products.

• Innovative, energetic, and constantly strives to make a big impact.

• Must have a “Can Do” attitude and be a team player.
